Our Farm Shop has been open for over two years and we are expanding. We are pleased to have just launched a new deli and we are looking for more staff members to join our successful, award winning team!

We have the following vacancies (All applicants must be over 17 years old):


Job Title: Deli and Farm Shop Assistant

Contract: Permanent
Hours:
25 to 30 Hours a Week / Three to Five Days a Week (including weekends & early starts)
Salary: Competitive
Location: Court Farm Shop, Stoke Orchard, Cheltenham

Our Farm Shop with Butchery is open seven days a week and located on our Family run farm where we have been producing our own lamb, beef, pork and eggs for many years. The majority of this produce is now sold through our Farm Shop. We not only proudly sell our own produce but also have a full range of locally and nationally sourced items

We have recently been presented with recognition for our Farm Shop, farming practices and quality of our own produce. It is important to us that our Customers’ high expectations are maintained.

We are looking for an experienced Farm Shop Assistant to work with our Farm Shop Manager and join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work with customer service, enthusiasm and cookery skill being at the core of what they do.

To apply for our Deli & Farm Shop Assistant position you must possess:

- Experience of a retail environment, including customer interaction
- Experience of working in a Farm Shop or High Street Deli
- Good cooking and food presentation skills with experience of keeping display counters well stocked & presentable
- Able to ensure excellent health & safety and food hygiene practices
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate desirable
- Excellent customer services skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional telephone manner
- Accurate data entry skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Availability for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the farm shop

Job Title: Weekend Farm Shop Assistant

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 14.5 Hours a Week / Saturdays & Sundays
Salary: Competitive
Location: Court Farm Shop, Stoke Orchard, Cheltenham

We are looking for someone to work with our current Farm Shop staff and join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work with customer service, enthusiasm and energy being at the core of what they do.

- Previous experience in a retail environment, using tills and taking money
- Excellent customer services skills
- The ability to respond to questions & comments from customers about our products & events
- Flexibility to follow working practices, policies and procedures as set out by the current staff and Farm Shop Directors
- Good verbal communications skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Availability for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the butchery & farm shop

Job Title: Farm Shop Administrator

Contract: Permanent
Hours:
5 hours a day, 4 days a week (Tuesday – Friday)
Salary: Competitive
Location: Court Farm Shop, Stoke Orchard, Cheltenham

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining all admin relating to our Farm and Farm Shop Businesses
- Managing of stock and ensuring incoming stock & best before dates are inputted into the database in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy
- Check the prices of all incoming stock and adjust the sales costs on the database accordingly (maintain agreed margins)
- Managing of weekly/daily KPI’s + budgets
- Action & pay invoices ensuring credits are provided from suppliers where required
- Calculate and pay monthly revenue payments
- Monitor and maintain bank accounts
- Ensure our accounts system is kept up to date daily (purchase and sales ledger)
- Complete month end & year end accounts
- Work with the Farm Shop Manager to complete our annual stock take
- Oversee the changeover to a new accounting system while running the current system concurrently
- Monthly payroll processing
- Maintaining holiday & overtime records
- Maintaining email accounts, responding to customers and suppliers within a few hours of receipt
- Answering the phones and dealing with customer and supplier queries
- Conduct order/enquiry related admin within an agreed timeframe of when the order/query was received

To apply for our Farm Shop Administrator position you must possess:

- Knowledge & experience of accounting & payroll packages
- Experience of a retail environment, including customer interaction
- Experience of managing and working within large budgets
- Exceptional organisational skills – being focused and effective at all times
- Excellent customer services skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience reporting on areas including sales & marketing statistics etc
- Good numeracy skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Sound IT and systems knowledge including experience of bespoke packages and internet technology
- Confidentiality is a must for this role as you will have access to commercially sensitive information
