– Full Time Senior Butcher
Job Title: 3 x Weekend Deli & Butchery Assistants (Would suit 16 or 17 year olds)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive
Position One: Every Saturday 10am-4pm (Butchery) / Position Two: Every Sunday 10am-4pm (Butchery) / Position Three: Every Sunday 10am-4pm (Deli)
Location: Court Farm Shop, Stoke Orchard, Cheltenham

Start Date: Immediate
We are looking for three confident, enthusiastic people to join our dedicated deli & butchery teams and be able to:
- – Prepare and place deli & butchery products in display counters, ensuring an attractive display is maintained to catch the customer’s eye
- – Serve hot drinks using a barista coffee machine as per customer’s requirements (training will be given)
- – Cut or prepare deli & butchery products to specification or to customer’s orders
- – Serve customers in a positive, friendly manner
- – Clean the deli & butchery to a high standard
- – The ability to follow health & safety and, food hygiene regulations, policies & procedures
These are permanent positions . Training will be given for the above so previous experience is not essential. However, confidence and the the ability to serve customers is key to this role. Flexibility to work extra hours to cover holidays & sickness is a must

We are delighted that Mike, our Butchery Manager, has been with us since we opened in 2015 and has increased sales in the butchery year on year, ever since. This growth in business, as well as succession planning, means that we are now very keen to find another full-time, experienced butcher to work with Mike, Mark & our Butchery Team to help the business continue to move forward.
As a working family-run farm and farm shop, we are proud to showcase our own beef, pork and lamb, and are looking to add to the high level of expertise and extensive knowledge of traditional butchery methods, we currently offer our customers.
We appreciate that this is a highly skilled role, and as a result are offering a very competitive salary, above industry rate, to attract the right person for the position.
To apply for our Full Time Butcher position you must possess:
- – Previous butchery experience with extensive knowledge of all aspects of butchery and meat preparation
- – Experience of working within high street butchers or farm shops
- – The ability to cut and bone carcass meat, prepare a wide range of added value products and ensure an attractive display of quality meat
- – The knowledge to respond to questions and comments from customers, including advice and guidance regarding the most suitable cuts and cooking methods
- – Flexibility to follow working practices, health & safety and food hygiene regulations, policies and procedures and comply with all meat related COSHH and Food Safety legislation.
- – Intermediate food hygiene is desirable
This is a permanent position and not just for Christmas.
